INTRODUCTION

The Integrated Media Club is a dynamic academic and creative platform designed for BA(JMC) and MA(MC) students to explore, understand and practically apply the diverse dimensions of contemporary media and communication. The club aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the rapidly evolving media industry by providing students with opportunities to work across print, television, radio, digital media, social media, advertising, public relations, photography, film and multimedia communication.

The club will encourage students to develop an integrated understanding of how different media platforms work together to create impactful communication. Through workshops, seminars, media projects, industry interactions, competitions, campaigns, content creation activities and live projects, students will gain practical exposure to the complete media production and communication process.

Aligned with the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (BAJMC), the club will provide foundational and hands-on experience in areas such as news writing, reporting, photography, video production, podcasting, graphic design, digital content creation, advertising and social media communication and with Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (MA(MC)), the club will provide opportunities for advanced exploration of media strategy, integrated communication campaigns, research, media planning, content strategy, digital storytelling, media analytics and emerging technologies such as AI and immersive media.

The club promotes Outcome-Based Education (OBE), experiential learning, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and industry readiness.

OBJECTIVES

  7. To facilitate interaction with media professionals, journalists, advertisers, PR practitioners, filmmakers and digital creators.

The Integrated Media Club will organize ‘Varchasva’ as a practical exposure where students can participate in:

Through ‘Varchasava’, students will experience the complete event management and media production process while working in a professional and collaborative environment.
