INTRODUCTION
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has recognized Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies, New Delhi as a Potential Nodal Centre for Universal Human Values (UHV) for the period 2025–27. The official certificate will be presented at an event at AICTE Headquarters in New Delhi within the next two months.
AICTE commended the institution for its dedication to integrating human values into education and encouraged continued efforts to:
- Embed UHV into the academic framework as credit courses.
- Promote and expand UHV activities within the region.
Support will be provided by regional coordinators from AICTE’s UHV-related national committees to help realize the full potential of value-based education, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
This recognition has been accorded as per the study on Impact of UHV -(IRMA National Impact Study, 2022–24): conducted by Institute of Rural Management Anand, Gujarat, India (IRMA) with findings as under:-
- Students: 71% reported better relationships, 65% experienced reduced stress, and 68% gained clarity and confidence.
- Faculty: 87% achieved greater personal-professional clarity, and 75% reported lower stress and better emotional stability.
- Institutions: Observed improved discipline, teacher-student rapport, and alignment with NEP 2020’s holistic education goals.
The study confirms UHV as an effective, scalable model for fostering well-being, ethical behavior, and academic sincerity in technical education.
OBJECTIVES
- Create self−awareness and self−exploration among the students
- Create a cordial atmosphere for the new student to acclimatize, and foster healthy friendships with their peers.
- Socializing and associating with the people
- Familiarize the freshers with the Institutional rules and regulations, norms, academic and administrative structure, and learning resources
- Enabling the students to be eco−friendly human engineers & managers and contribute effectively to human society and existence as a whole.
- Adapt to new environment and realize human values in personal and professional life

- Students Induction Program & Universal Human Value Cell has been constituted in TIAS, Delhi to help new students to adapt and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution.
- The following higher officials, faculty members and external experts have been nominated as members of the committee as per AICTE guidelines. The term of the members shall be for two years (till the end of academic year 2021-23).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS
- Organizing and conducting SIP as per AICTE and UGC guidelines.
- Preparing the schedule of SIP for new students.
- Daily attendance coordination of the students during SIP events.
- Coordination of all the schedule activities.
- Preparation of reports and sending to higher officials.
- Collecting the students feedback reports during the SIP and end of the Programme.
- Preparing and maintaining record of minutes of the committee meeting.
- Taking care of parents, alumnus and other external stake holders.
- Activities management and records maintenance.
- Final submission of SIP report by the mentor coordinator to the Director.
