RESEARCH & INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT CELL

BACKGROUND & NEED

Research & Innovation Development Cell of Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies deals with the policies, practices and outcomes of the institution, with reference to research & innovations. It deals with the amenities provided and efforts made by the TIAS to stimulate a ‘research culture’. The cell has the responsibility to enable students and faculty to undertake research projects worthwhile to the society. Serving the community through research, which is a social responsibility and a core value to be demonstrated is the major objective of this Cell. The Research and Innovation Development (R &I D) Cell of Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies facilitate and emboldens research ethos among the faculty and students. Its prime role is to create links with the factual world and stimulate research through a array of publications. It enables an amiable milieu for technological advances and monitors the research activities of the college. The R&ID Cell takes upon the responsibility of creating a work place to entice the utmost endowment and endeavors incessantly in pooling of skills and internal resources, forming strategy, overcoming curbs, and makes the Institute proud to be the preeminent institutions around the World.

FUNTIONS

  1. To create fervor amongst students and faculty members towards research and innovation.
  2. To explore various areas of research.
  3. To work diligently with the industrial needs that eventually will result in new or enhanced products, processes, systems or services that can enhance the company’s yield.
  4. To foster collaborations for mutual benefits and to exploit industrial connectivity.
  5. To establish alliance with other universities, public and private sectors in Research & Innovation.
  6. To identify R &D project including consultancy services which could be undertaken at the institution.
  7. To revitalize research in various departments of the Institute.
  8. To confirm efficient functioning and effective management of R&D at the institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Research Innovation Development Cell shall endorse research and development activities by inspiring students and faculty members for publishing research papers.
  2. To motivate faculty members and students to get patents for their works.
  3. To organize regular seminars and workshops on Research Methodology & innovations.

STRUCTURE

Research & Innovation Development Cell structure of Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies can maintain a closer contact with the work field. It helps keep the academic activities in the Institute in a more realistic perspective. R&ID structure encompasses in executive committee, faculty research committee and student research committee.

OBJECTIVES

Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies, Research & Innovation Development Cell (RID Cell) stimulate ‘Research Culture’ among the faculty and students and is responsible to enable faculty to undertake research projects worthwhile to the society, serving the community and also brings in basic traits of research & innovations in the research scholar to develop technical research paper, participation in conference and seminars, publishing paper in listed journals. The basic objectives of research and Innovation Cell are following:-

  1. To promote research culture in campus
  2. Develop sustainable Innovation Ecosystem
  3. Collaboration through MoUs with other educational, research, industry, NGOs
  4. Promoting Research Publications & Research Awards
  5. Undertaking Consultancy & Projects on Thrust Areas
  6. Propagating Resource Mobilization for Research
