Introduction
Film Fiesta 2026 : A Short Film & Documentary Making Competition An initiative by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication (JMC), Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies, Film Fiesta 2026 is a dynamic platform that celebrates the art of storytelling through cinema.
With this year’s theme, “Frames That Speak : Indian Knowledge System,” the festival invites aspiring filmmakers, visual storytellers, and creative minds to explore and express the depth of India’s cultural, intellectual, and traditional heritage through film. It encourages participants to capture stories that reflect the wisdom embedded in Indian philosophies, traditions, arts, sciences, and everyday life, presenting them through a modern and engaging cinematic lens. The theme emphasizes meaningful storytelling where each frame communicates ideas, emotions, and insights that resonate beyond words, bridging the past with the present through powerful visual narratives.
